We are a Bible-believing church who believe God wants us to know Him, His mission, and His purpose for our lives.

Our church has strong foundational truths:

• We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived sinlessly, died and then rose again, before ascending to heaven where He awaits His return.
• We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in us from the moment of Salvation, connecting us with the Father and changing us from within.
• We believe that the Bible is God’s word to all people. Written by human authors but totally inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the truth by which we live our lives.
• We believe that the human race is made in the image of God, but became separated from Him through disobedience. We can’t win back that relationship through our own efforts.
• We believe that salvation, the restoration of that relationship, comes by trusting in Jesus as God’s offer of forgiveness. When we put our trust in Jesus, we are born again.
• We believe in Baptism, both in water as a sign of repentance and in the Holy Spirit for the empowerment of His gifts such as speaking in other languages, healing and prophecy.
• We believe that the church is the body of Christ — a Holy Spirit-inspired community called to do God’s will on this earth.
• We believe that we are created for eternal life. However, eternity with God is only available through trusting in Jesus Christ.

We seek the Bible to know more and more about God. Whatever we think we know or understand about God — there’s more.

We are a church who believe we are becoming more and more like Christ

Verse 18 ends by saying we are a ‘holy people’ which means

Galatians 5:22–23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

As we become more like Christ, these fruits become more evident in our life.

No matter how much fruit you already experience in your life, there is more.

We as a church believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available for us today.

Paul says that the same that raised Christ from the dead is available for us today.

Whatever you’ve experienced of the power of God in prophecy, healing or miracles, there is more.

So where are you on that journey? Let’s try and make a few steps forward.

Step 1 – It starts at the cross

Jesus died on a cross so that all who believe in Him are able to receive salvation. We need to accept His offer, turn away from our sin, and become a follower of His.

It is simply a matter of putting our trust in Him. However, it often helps to say it in the form of a prayer.

Step 2 – Have you told others?

If not, then start to tell others that you are a follower of Christ.

Step 3 – Have you been baptised in water?

If no, this could be your next step. Speak to one of the leaders of the church for more information on baptism and when the next service is.

Step 4 – Have you been baptised in the Holy Spirit?

If no, this could be your next step. Speak to one of the leaders of the church for more information.

Step 5 – How is your prayer life? (0–10)

0 = I don’t pray / don’t know how to pray — 10 = I feel completely connected with God in regular prayer.

If you scored low on this, then start by setting aside some regular time with God. Preferably a few minutes daily in which God is able to speak to you. Ask one of the leaders for tips on how to pray.

If you scored higher, consider practical ways in which your prayer life can become even more intimate.

Step 6 – How is your understanding of the Bible? (0–10)

0 = I have never read any of it — 10 = I know and fully understand all of the Bible and am able to apply it perfectly on a daily basis.

If you scored low, then set aside some time each day to read through the Bible. Ask the leaders for tips on Bible reading plans. Consider coming on a course to help improve your understanding and converse with others.

Step 7 – Is your lifestyle in alignment with the kind of lifestyle that the Bible encourages?

Think about areas of your life that need to change. Pray about them and ask God to help. If you are struggling with an area of addiction, then ask a mature and appropriate Christian to help you.
