At Life Stream Church we practise full-immersion believers' baptism — for those who want to express their commitment to following Jesus.
Why be baptised?
Jesus told His followers they should be baptised — and was baptised Himself by His cousin John. It's an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith.
"…baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."Matthew 28:19
What it represents
As a person is taken under the water and brought up again, baptism pictures the death and resurrection of Jesus — a symbol that we are trusting in Him, and what He did on the cross, for our salvation.
Can I be baptised?
If you're a follower of Jesus, then yes. We hold baptism services several times a year and run a short course to explain it further and cover the practical details.
