Our senior leadership team are responsible for the spiritual aspect of our church.
Mark and Liz Holdcroft have been the senior pastors since October 2016. Before this, they spent 10 years serving as missionaries in Slovakia planting churches and starting a Bible School. However, their roots are in Biddulph; this is where they grew up, met God and fell in love with each other. They have two children, Jessica and Noah, and love spending time together as a family.
They have a mixture of passions ranging from football to singing, but their greatest passion by far is to serve God and to love people.
David Walters is our Elder and has served in the church for many years. His wife Susan and their first child moved to England from Wales many years ago and during that time pastored several churches and had two more children. At his core, he has a pastor’s heart and loves to serve others. However, he also loves photography and you will often catch him with his camera.
Alongside the senior leadership team are a group of people, often refered to as Deacons, who help to manage the church. This group all help the church to function in very practical ways.
Jean Nicholson has been a much loved member of the church for many years. She is known throughout the community and the church for the way that she loves and cares for people. After years of visiting and encouraging anybody who needed it, Jean was officially put in charge of visiting those who aren’t able to make it to church.
Fred Challinor, with his wife Mavis, have been faithful members of the church for many years. Fred is very practically gifted and, amongst other things, is a key part of the Tuesday Venue meeting. He is a faithful man of God, but watch out, he does also have a more mischievous side.
Marianne Palin, known to her friends as Maz, has been on the church management team since 2016. She is married to David, and together they form a team with great organisational skills. They are involved in many aspects of church ministry including heading up the catering team. Marianne also ensures that the church has all the right practices in place so that we can be confident that the church is a safe place for all to come.
